The Perfect Gift for this Christmas!

Join us December 1-8 of this year in the British Virgin Islands (BVI)! We will be cruising on a new Lagoon 52 sailing catamaran and helping some people with repairs to their homes and taking Christmas gifts for children. The charter company has extended a 30% discount for this special cruise!

As you know, the Virgin Islands have been extremely damaged by 2 CAT5 hurricanes, Irma and Maria. There is now a tremendous amount of relief and supplies already delivered or on the way. However, the recovery process takes a LONG time and will soon be yesterday’s news.

If you have ever experienced recovering from a hurricane or other natural disaster, you know that there cannot be enough help over the next 6 months to a year.

We are going to sail to Jost Van Dyke for a few days and help a few local families in any way we can – repairs, painting, and supplies (some that they are not getting , but needed) . The Jost Van Dyke Preservation Society is helping to identify some families who we can help.

After that we will sail to Virgin Gorda for a couple of days and provide the same help with input from our local Virgin Gorda contacts – Gumption and Lili Charles.

You can pitch in as much as you want to. We will be anchored in Great Harbour and White Bay, Jost Van Dyke with snorkeling and going to beaches and local beach bars/restaurants (not sure what will be open, but we will patronize them to help give them business and rebuild the tourism based economy. )

At Virgin Gorda, we will be either anchored near Spanish Town or in North Sound.

Suggest flying into St. Thomas (STT) and taking the ferry to Roadtown – the airport and ferries are in operation now. 12/1 – Boarding time is at 530PM at Hodges Creek Marina.

Here is a link to specs and a few photos on the boat – We will disembark at Hodges Creek by 10AM on 12/8.

Provisions/beverages – we will discuss this with everyone before the cruise and plan on breakfasts/most lunches and, probably, half of the dinners on board – estimate $140-200/person for the week plus beverages.

There are 3 equal sized, spacious staterooms with a double bed and full head/shower. The 4th stateroom is an owner’s stateroom with more space including a vanity.

The 3 equal staterooms are $3500 each – SOLD OUT

The owner’s stateroom is $4000. BOOKED

We need a 50% deposit ASAP and the balance due by 15 October .

Have you been trying to figure out how to help the wonderful people of the Virgin Islands?

Sending money to the right charity is fantastic and needed, however being there and actually showing that you care and helping them will make a huge difference! It will be the best present that you have ever given at Christmas!
