Are you looking for an amazing adventure that combines exploring Havana, Cuba and sailing the unspoiled islands and cays off the south coast of Cuba? The coral reefs are pristine and the beaches are beautiful!
We are going to sail a brand new (first sailing is in January 2018!) Lagoon 52 six cabin (link to photos and specs – http://www.cata-lagoon.com/l
The cruise starts and ends at Cienfuegos on the south coast. We sail out to an archipelago of islands and cays that are a combination islands with resorts and beach bars as well as cays that are uninhabited. The snorkeling is absolutely amazing as is the fishing!
Last December, we did the same cruise and that gave us a lot of knowledge to make this upcoming cruise even more fantastic!
To get the best Cuba experience, we suggest flying into and out of Havana a day or 2 ahead of the cruise.
There is a range of accommodations from excellent AirBnb properties to 5 star hotels like the Hotel Nacional and the Iberia Eurostar (I can help with this, as we looked at several). Included in the charter cost is a private van to take us to/from Havana and Cienfuegos (known as the Pearl of the South!)
The cost for the week on the boat is $3775/stateroom, double occupancy including basic charter supplies, snorkel gear and Havana/Cienfuegos transport. Food/Beverage and land costs are extra. The provisioning is not expensive and we will get lobster and fish from local fishermen.
A deposit of $1500 as soon as possible to hold each stateroom. Here is a link to go to for the deposit – https://shop.activecruising.com/products/cuba-cruise-2018-deposit There are a lot of people who want to go on this cruise, so it is going to book quickly – the one last December did so in a week…
